    im on three leagues 2 mixed leagues and 1 mens league

    my averages very on each league

    147 150 158

    thats not the problem i can bowl over average like yesterday

    127 220 204

    my problem is i always have a bad first game and dont know how to fix it so if anyone has any tips plz let me know

    Hi Jeff,



    Thanks for the add. My tip for combating the low first game is to stretch out and get loose before you start bowling.



    Also, watch the ball reactions of the other players and make adjustments early.



    I know I tend to try the same thing over and over before adjusting and that can really kill my score.

    Well I used to have the same issue when I began my league play. I would recommend working harder to find your mark. You need to recognize the oil pattern on the lane. For example if your a right handed bowler, and the oil is heavier on the far right of the lane from the gutter to the first triangle, and assuming you throw a curve ball, you would have to move over a couple of boards to the left and roll the ball right over the first triangle, so that the ball catches only a little bit of the oil and comes back to the dry to cut in to the pocket. ALSO STRETCH YOUR ARM OUT AND RELAX IT! that could be another issue. and the final hint would be to slow your pace down, because slow and steady finishes the race strong.
